Last month the authorities SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation) and CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China) published that the certification obligation according to CCC (China Compulsory Certification) has been lifted for various products (we reported: https://www.cisema.com/blog/2018/06/18/china-ccc-certification-obligation-lifted-for-numerous-products/).
The certification organizations CCAP (China Certification Centre for Automotive Products) and CQC (China Quality Certification Centre) published on 09.07.2018 new regulations about a voluntary certification for some of the cancelled products.

CCAP and CQC also published how to deal with the CCC marking on products that have been removed from the scope of certification:
- Products marked with the CCC logo directly on the product body or packaging (e.g. embossing, or print): The marking can be removed from the product body, packaging and accompanying documents, according to the tool change cycle and inventory.
- Products marked with officially registered CCC stickers: They must no longer be applied to previously certified products from the date on which the certification obligation is lifted.
